Joni! I don’t think there’s anything wrong with you at all. I know will never get over it when my dogs die. I’ve raised them since they were 3 months old (they’re three years old now) and I love them to bits.

We had a dog once, an askal like your dog, and her tail is only about an inch long. She gave birth to eight (!!!!) puppies under my bed, and some of them had eenie-weenie tails just like hers. Some even had no tails! Of course we had to give them away, but even the ones I never named, I felt sad when I had to let them go. It just feels like you’re letting them down because you can’t keep them and they’ve learned to love you. :(

I remember our dog in 2004 that we had to give away because we were moving from Isabela to Manila. I was sad because I spent a lot of times with our dog. Askal lang siya pero I also like him a lot.

and there’s nothing wrong in hating to say goodbyes… to people and pets. :D
