Two posts ago, I mentioned that I don’t have any other trips this summer. But with just one chat session with Riz and Mae (the former was lonely, the latter was itching to get away) last month, a new itinerary was born! Last week, the three of us went on a 3-day trip to Cebu City just to get away from all of it. While staying in Shangri-La Mactan (and while Riz was taking a nap), Mae and I found a fruit bowl and shot the photos below. Hilarious!
Okay, I’m posting these pictures knowing there’s a chance another diehard Twilight fan would come and get me. Did you know that somebody left this very rude comment on my blog?
I HATE WHEN PEOPLE TALK SHIT ABOUT TWILIGHT.THEY’RE ALL JUST HATERS AND YOU REALLY NEED TO GO GET A LIFE!! AND FUCK ALL OF YOU THAT HATE.YOUR JUST JEALOUS THAT THEY’RE MAKING BILLIONS OF DOLLARS AND YOUR JUST MAKING A DUMB ASS BLOG ABOUT IT!!!
Whoever you are, I’m sorry to disappoint you. But there really is no need to use cuss words, they hurt. Lol. :P
Anyway, back to the Cebu trip. The one thing I wanted to do when I go back to Cebu was try out “Skywalk Extreme” at Crown Regency Hotel and I was so happy that we were able to do that the first night! Mae led the way as she has already been there earlier this year. The P600 we paid for already included the entrance fee, one ride (choice between Skywalk and Edge Coaster), and a hearty buffet meal. Sulit!
The next day we went to Mactan Shrine (or Lapu-Lapu Shrine), Taoist Temple (for the 3rd time!!), and had dinner at Tops, a mountaintop place overlooking the whole of Cebu City.
For two nights, we stayed in Casa Escano but on the last day, we transferred to Shangri-La Mactan and sacrificed a few bucks. Riz, fortunately, has friends in high places (her mom called up her aunt who is connected to Shangri-La to ask for a free room upgrade) so for just one night, we got to pretend we’re rich by staying in Shangri-La. The truth is though, we only had cup noodles and oatmeal for dinner!
After that Skywalk experience, my next favorite is Shangri-La Mactan. The place is so beautiful! See for yourself:
The three of us obviously have not gotten tired of each other yet, because we’re now planning for our next trip. Welcome us with open arms, Hong Kong! Except you, H1N1 virus.

we were able to shoo emong this will be a piece of cake huzzah! :D
Wow, Joni, that looked like two tons of fun! I’m so glad you were able to enjoy your time away. You deserve it!
Aaahh looks beautiful! Reading this makes me wanna go home now =)
Juice, your hometown is just lovely!
Joni, Joni, Joni. You’re too nice. If it were my blog, I would’ve orchestrated a DDOS attack on that person’s IP for being a Twilight fanborg.
@Jeff, I have no time for people like her. LOL.
And how do you orchestrate a DDOS attack? *nosebleed* hehehe
@Ganns, thank you! You deserve a break, too :)
@Mae, you think our powers are strong enough to scare The Virus away? Haha.
ano be, now ko lang nabasa haha. :)
yaaayy! CEBU CEBU! :) wanted to blog about this too, hehe, hope it’s not too late.
AND WHATDAHELL, THAT HATE COMMENT, PEDE BA!!!
bungga. jetsetter ka na tita jon. hahah!!!today, asia. tomorrow, the world. nan. haha
haha cool pics on the twilight cover. especially the one holding a mango. that loser who just cussed had no sense of humor. tsk. i love the different versions. XD
hehe ang kuulet ng twilight cover :) I’m glad you had fun girls!
Wow, that’s a really good deal for the Skywalk Adventure. I’m wondering why we paid such a huge amount for it last week. It was extortion! We were required to pay a separate entrance fee from the actual Skywalk, and that’s without pa the Edge Coaster ride. Basi may promo Jon’ or something when you went there? Swerte sa inyo. :-) hehe
@Michelle: It was a Friday night, maybe amo na nga cheaper? How much did you pay? :)
Actually ang total amount nga gin bayaran namon each was P850 kay tag P750 ang one set of pictures namon nga tatlo. P600 + P250 bale. Okay na tani ang P600 galing syempre important ang pics! hehe!
Ay, sakto gali Jon’. It wasn’t that expensive. I misunderstood kung pila gd each sa amon kay I wasn’t the one paying.hehe I had to asked our “financer” again kung pila gd. Sorry for the sudden violent reaction. hehe Good for two na gli ang 1thou. Wala man cla ga allow nga isa lang so duwa na kami for 1thou. 4 kami tanan ng Skywalk so around 2thou tanan. We paid 900 for the pictures. We weren’t sure na unlimited photos gali when we were up there. Kanugon kay dw wala gd kami kapaayaw pakwa pictures. Ka bitin sang 900. hehe
@Michelle: No prob ah! :) mas barato pa gani ang inyo eh. P500 + P225 each lang diba? Not bad!
up to 20 shots lang kuno ang isa ka set eh! haha!
Joni, ibang klase a. One chat session results in a 3 day stay at Shangri-La Mactan? Haha next time sama nyo naman ako! :P
This is marc from wordcamp, btw (blogmarc.com). New blog. I’ve decided I want to be super buff kasi hahah. I’ll link you up na!
@Marc – Not 3 days in Shangri-La! That’s toooo expensive, hehe! We only stayed there for one day. :)
I’ll drop by your blog din! Thanks!
Joni! Love those cool photos! Aliw!
