  • My 25th Birthday

    I notice that every year birthdays become less and less special. However, this really isn’t something to be sad about, it’s just part of growing up. My 25th birthday the other day (January 29th) was nothing out of the ordinary. I practically spent the whole day in the office! So, what I did was I got myself a “toy” to make the day a little bit memorable:

  • Greetings from Ward #18

    The feeling I have sitting here beside my dad’s hospital bed at 1:23 in the morning, just watching him stare into space, is oddly unsettling. So I open my laptop to write this post..

    To those who don’t know — my dad was rushed to the hospital again two Sundays ago (I’ll save the details of that traumatic day). From a private room here in Makati Medical Center, we had to move him to the ward three days ago because our hospital bill is getting higher by the minute. Needless to say, we can no longer afford it. But help is on its way!

  • New Year, New Hope

    Well, it’s 2009. Three more days and the two-week holiday vacation will be officially over. I’m already dreading all the tasks that await me at the office. [insert sad face here]

    Pardon me for sounding like a pessimist, but lately I think I’ve become one. The past three weeks for me have been kinda hard. You know how I always say that I’m a sleepyhead? Well, I still am. Once asleep, I could stay still for hours. The only difference nowadays is when it’s time for bed, I can’t get myself to fall asleep. The reason is simple really, I am worrying about a lot of things that it’s keeping me up.
