Kids these days, they get exposed to so much violence when they can't really know the gravity of the repercussions of their actions. I've been a witness to a similar incident at the university where I teach, good thing nothing happened there, it was all just big talk, but the point was, you can never tell when it's just going to be "just talk" or you're going to construe that as a "threat." In this case there really was intent to commit bodily harm -- good Lord, what IS the world coming to? Children in that age are supposed to be angelic. They're now little savages beholden to the whispers of the devil. I shudder at the thought (because I'm a teacher myself, to think students can and WILL do that to you!), and to older kids who are capable of doing so much more. Wow. And I just turned your comments page into a blog entry, lol. Sorry about that. I meant to say I enjoyed reading your blog, and it's nice to know you're Pinoy too :) God bless and more power! But all we had were sticks and stones and our limp arms to wrestle and feet to run away from them. But the emotions were there. Probably we're just watching too much martial arts, Bio Man and Shaider. :D I wouldn't wonder if this is caused by too much exposure to such media. This isn’t new to me.
