Last month, I waited two weeks for Union Bank to activate my EON card. I’ve only used it once, and now I may never have to. We (people residing in the Philippines) can now withdraw funds from our Paypal to our local bank accounts. I just tried adding my BPI account, and it was a success. Try adding yours too!
As you can see, it’s way cheaper to withdraw funds to a local bank account than to a credit / debit card. The former only costs PhP50.00 to withdraw an amount of PhP 6,999.99 or less, and free for PhP 7,000 or more; while the latter costs US$5.00 for every withdrawal. Both transactions take 5-7 business days of processing time.

Then again, never say never. I know I don’t have to say goodbye to my still-shiny, hardly-used EON card. Since it’s a Visa debit card, I still may be able to use it in more ways than one.
What’s your local bank account? Have you tried adding it to your Paypal?
I successfully added my bank account (Metrobank) but I guess I can’t really withdraw unless I have a verified account (which means, I need to have a visa card).

I’m still thinking about this thing. If the money I earn from doing paid posts will be directed to my current account, then I would have a hard time managing it since that is also where I out my sweldo and where I get my expenses. Maghahalo.
Maybe the best thing for me is to have to use the EON since the $5, although has value, would be what I just spent because I rarely use the EON.

Teacher Julie: Hmm, how about you open another bank account and keep that as your “savings account” of the money you earn online? para di maghahalo dun sa isang account mo. kse $5 is Php 200, whereas kung bank account Php 50 lang.
But like Yoru said, you still need a credit / debit card to verify your paypal account. suggestion ko, apply ka pa rin for eon just for account verification, then open a new bank account then use that to withdraw your funds. matrabaho nga lang. hehe!

your eon account can also be added to paypal as a bank account. so with 1 eon card/account, you can add a debit card and a savings account.
Paypal is shit, they are good in taking money but when you want to withdraw the money, they’ll give you hard time. If you don’t provide them what they need they they’ll take the money without saying thank you. I would say to anyone who wants to open an account with paypal, don’t even try it, they’ll fuck you up.

anyone here tried BDO adding on paypal? I open dollar account on BDO, the teller says that I can use it online but she gave me passbook, and it didnt work in paypal, so after a week I open atm debit card pesos account coz the teller told me shes sure that it will work in paypal, paypal just blocked my card and I called customer service in BDO that told me theyre not affiliated in paypal. DAMN!! actually it just happened. just now!!! DAMN DAMN DAMN!! I have business transaction delayed coz of this!!! huuuuuuuuuuu!!!!! wooooozaaaaaa!!!!!!!
I juzt received a fund from the wizhlizt promotion of paypal in facebook and waz given only 30 dayz to claim it or elze it would be gone for zure…and i do not want that to happen…
My paypal account iz not yet verified…
I do have a BPI ATM Card…and plan on uzing thiz to wthdraw fundz.
