  • ABC’s LOST (no spoilers)

    LOST

I realize now that buying those cheap, pirated DVDs (Sorry, Tito Edu!!) of LOST seasons 1 & 2 may have been a very bad idea. Because my relentless watching has successfully caused me to be suck in to their “lost” world as well. I’ve watched a few of the season 1 episodes last year but didn’t really think that the story can develop into something sensible. It’s just about a bunch of people stranded in an island after surviving a plane crash — what’s the big deal?? But lo and behold, it does get better. At first I was the only one at home interested in watching it but now my brothers are on it as well and were even the first ones to finish both 1st and 2nd seasons — and are almost halfway through the 3rd one! Hence, they’ve earned the spoiler and bragging rights first. Grrr! LOL.

So among the American TV series that I’m watching (and downloading), here’s the hierarchy of my favorites:

    1. Prison Break
    2. Lost
    3. Grey’s Anatomy
    4. One Tree Hill

I’m thinking about what’s gonna be next on my (very addictive) list. I’m deciding between House and The OC. But I think I prefer to watch the one that is on air for not more than 3 years yet. That way, it’s easier to catch up. Heehee. I value recommendations! :)

  • Christmas 2006

    3

This year is the second time I spent Christmas away from my parents. My brothers are here, so I was at least with “family”. Yet I couldn’t stop thinking about my mom and dad who are with my uncle and my cousin back home. I missed them, especially today which is probably the most sentimental day of the year. :(

I was adopted by the Tardio family on Christmas Eve, so it wasn’t such a lonely Christmas. But this is me on Christmas Day around 7:30 in the evening…

    me

This is what happens when there’s no homemade spaghetti, no ube-macapuno ice cream, no fried chicken, no lechon kawali, no pork barbecue, no chocolate cake, and no mom and dad to keep me wanting to stay home. :(

On the way to the mall, I was thinking of Jesus and how the day was supposedly about Him. Then out of nowhere, I remembered Kuya Cres telling this joke a few years back. I don’t know why it suddenly came to mind. LOL.

Jesus: “I tell you the truth, one of you is going to betray me..”
Simon Peter: “Is it I, Lord?”
Jesus: “No, Peter, it is not you.”
    John: “Is it I, Lord?”
Jesus: “No, John, it isn’t you.”
    Judas: “Is it I, Lord?”
Jesus: (pause) “Is-it-I-Lord, is-it-I-Lord.. Alam mo namang ikaw yun eh, nagmamaang-maangan ka pa dyan!

    Hahahahahaha! Kainis. Nonsense ba?
    Anyway, Merry Christmas, everyone!

  • A Dream Come True

    8

Nothing brings a sweeter smile to my face than stepping out of the house in the morning and realizing that the sun is nowhere and it’s a relaxing, cloudy day! It’s been like that for the past 2 days. It’s as though the sun is gone to take a break and everyone is allowed to enjoy the outdoors without worrying about the scorching heat. Great thing too that, even with the cloudy sky, it’s also not raining! Although I wouldn’t mind a few drizzle… I can finally use the umbrella I bought a few days ago which until now is left unused (The timing’s always off: Either I forget to bring it when I need it, or I bring it then, later, it turns out I don’t need it. Go figure.)

I’ve never been a morning person (I can hear some people mumbling in agreement), but I’ve always wanted to be one — (because it feels more “normal” that way. Haha.) And now that circumstances require me to be up by 6:00 to 8:00 in the morning, I am enjoying the discipline I’ve set for myself to come to work early. It’s been 3 weeks, and so far, I’ve done a good job, yay! But I will continue to cross my fingers, lest I fail in this commitment of mine to be punctual, which I am very much known for. LOL.

Little by little, I’m getting used to the new office and new set of people I am with everyday. Hopefully, it’s just a matter of time until their hardworking, goal-oriented nature would rub off on me — their professionalism still remains quite new and shocking to a sleazeball like me, haha! PPC, web analytics, and other areas of search engine marketing now boggle my puny mind but I love the thought that I’m learning something new, somehow. I didn’t know my head is still capable of absorbing new information after its long inactivity. LOL. Just kidding.

Anyhoo, on to better news. You know how it’s usually one’s dream to be able to buy a house and a car with one’s own hard-earned money? Well, it’s the same way for me. But because, right now, that dream is an impossibility, I’m passing on my dream to the cute little ones…..

    new car!
At least the hammies are having the time of their lives! Hehehe!
