  • Sick and Scared

    7

My sinus is acting up again, and I can’t work properly without pinching my nose once in a while to stop the pain. And a while back, I was feeling a terrible heartache, literally. I can tell it’s my heart because it’s coming from the upper-left side of my chest. It lasted for about 15 minutes but that’s over now. Thank God.

Lately I’ve also been having headaches, which I hope doesn’t have anything to do with my eyes. Having had to face the computer almost daily for more than a year now — not counting my high school and college days spent mostly in front of a monitor as well — contributes a lot to my suspicion that I might be having eye problems of some sort. And while the idea of wearing glasses appealed much to me when I was just 9 or 10 years old (I was strangely envious of my classmates who were wearing one), today that idea has transformed into a fear. I hate the thought of having to wear a pair of eyeglasses and feel limited to the things I want to do like sports or swimming (not that I’m still doing those now like I used to). So as much as I can, I want to claim that I have a 20-20 vision, thank you very much. :P

And this one’s kinda embarrassing, but I’ve also been experiencing constipation for over 6 months now. Yes, I’ve watched the Oprah episode where they tackled the subject of that condition including the possible dangers of it. And yes, I’m a little scared. :(

But hey, I’m still alive! And I’m probably just overreacting. Hehe. I think it’s time for me to regularly take those vitamins my mom sent me that I’ve been keeping in my cabinet. Whoopsie. :D

I may not have the slightest idea of what’s actually happening to me right now, but one thing I know for sure…

    I need my mom. :(

  • One Tree Hill

    15

Had it not for my roommate bringing DVD copies of the One Tree Hill to our apartment, I wouldn’t have been addicted to watching the said TV program. My life was just fine before I met Lucas, Nathan, Peyton, Brooke and Haley. Heehee. :)

Weird thing though, my roommate lent me the second season of One Tree Hill and not the first, so when I watched the first episode of the 2nd season, I was so confused as to how the story goes. I had to guess why and how the circumstances in the plot came about. Fortunately, after 2 or 3 episodes, I kinda caught on. It was not that hard to figure out. I was done watching the complete Season 2 in just a span of two days, and I loved it!

Although I want to deny the fact that I think One Tree Hill is so like the old hit Dawson’s Creek, but truth is, I could enumerate some similarities between the two. But then again, of course I like OTH better. ;)

My favorite characters are Peyton and Brooke, and I’m still trying to decide who I think is cuter and sexier: Lucas or Nathan. I keep shifting from one to the other! Haha! Haley, on the other hand, is all right. :P

But hey, you should know that I am not an avid fan, and I am not aware of the show’s updates. Like I said, I’ve only watched the second season and I’m yet to be done with the first one. The third season episodes — I’m planning on downloading those or I can just ask a favor from Reah if she could burn me a copy of the episodes. :D

Conclusion: I recommend One Tree Hill to every bored individual, like myself, out there. :P

  • New Work Schedule

    5

And because the management favors the Sales group over the Support group, the Web Team was transferred to another schedule, 2PM-10PM. Before, we’re the only ones who are using our own PCs. But because the company is “growing” and there are insufficient PCs to accommodate the newbies, they had to move our schedule so the Agents could work on their schedule. I don’t get it. Why do they treat the Support Group as if we’re less significant? If not for us, will the Sales have something to sell?

I’m still unsure if I like this sked better. Hmm, let me try to weigh the pros and cons..

    CONS:
One. It’s a little dangerous to commute after 10PM. Considering I’ll be passing through EDSA (Manila’s busiest, most dangerous main road) since it’s the only way I could get home. Unless I’d ride a cab, which is also unsafe! I’m starting to be anxious about those horrible stories people being mugged while walking the streets alone. =/
Two. The sun is scorching hot outside at around 1PM when I leave for the office. Scorching hot!
Three. Goodbye social life! No meet-ups at the mall with friends after office hours.
    Four
. We can’t render overtime at the office anymore. Call Center Agents are scheduled to use our PCs right before and after our schedule.
    Five
. I’m no longer able to watch some of the shows I’ve grown to love on TV. By the time I get home, I’ll be just in time to watch the late night news.

    And the, PROS:
One. I don’t have to wake up so early in the morning. — That’s it! I can’t think of anything else! Waaaah.

It’s not like I can do something to change this. And it’s not like I’m actually complaining. I’m just, you know… weighing my pros and cons. Haha! Good thing is, the people up there said that we’re not gonna stay in this schedule for long. They might have us work on our regular schedule after this week. Might. They might not. :(

Enuf ranting now. I was glad to read that this website was acknowledged at Kutitots.com, so yey. Check it out. :)
